Great Grove Poultry is a traditional family run farm, specialising in producing quality Award Winning Traditional Farm Fresh Turkeys just for the Christmas market. Our Norfolk Turkeys and Geese are free to roam around our 35 acres of Norfolk woodland and grassland enhancing a stress free environment.
Using an aged old method of farming, they allow our traditional Norfolk Turkeys plenty of time to grow to maturity giving a far superior quality bird with natural gamey flavours. Everything is prepared on the farm, graded and game hung in large chillers (minimum 10 days) to make them exceptionally tender, adding all the natural flavours that this type of production depends on.
Why we choose Great Grove Turkey:
Reared with free-access to grass and woodland with shelter if needed.
Fed on a cereal based diet of wheat and oats.
We only use slow growing breeds, which are grown to full maturity (24-27 weeks) giving them a layer of fat to aid the cooking making the meat nice and juicy.
Dry plucked by hand by a team of people who care.
Hung for a minimum of 10 days, to maximise those natural, gamey flavours.
Sinews pulled.
Vacuum packed giblets.
Individually wrapped in greaseproof paper and presented with herbs and recipe booklet in a special carry home box
