Meatball sub

Serves 2-4

Ingredients:

  • 6 Wyndhams Tomato Meatballs 

  • 1 x pack ready to roll pizza dough

  • Plain flour for dusting

  • 75g grated mozzarella

  • 50g grated cheddar cheese

  • 1 burrata (optional)

  • 1 small bunch basil

  • Salt and pepper to taste 

Method:

  • In a pre-heated oven, cook your Wyndham’s Meatballs in their metal tin (remove plastic lid) for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius

  • Whilst your meatballs are cooking, dust your work surface with flour and halve your pizza dough to form two balls 

  • Roll out your dough balls to make two large circlular pizza bases and transfer to two baking sheets covered with baking parchment (the baking parchment will stop the dough from sticking)

  • Remove your meatballs from the oven and increase the temperature to 220 degrees Celsius fan

  • Carefully add 3 meatballs to the middle of each of the pizza bases, and top with each of the grated cheeses

  • Optional: halve the burrata and add one half to each of the pizzas 

  • Carefully fold each of the pizzas over on themselves so you have a semi-circle 

  • Place each pizza in the oven and cook for 10-12 minutes until golden and the cheese is bubbling

  • Remove your pizzas from the oven and top with basil leaves, season to taste and enjoy!
