Ultimate Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger
Serves 4
Ingredients:
4 brioche buns
4 Wyndham’s Classic Beef Burgers
12 rashers of smoked streaky bacon
8 squares of American burger cheese
1 large white onion
1 beef tomato
½ head of round leaf lettuce
Mayonnaise / burger sauce of your choice
Method:
Preheat your grill on a nice high heat
Grill your bacon rashers to your desired crispyness, alongside grilling your beef burgers, flipping after around 3 minutes. Grill until cooked through, before removing to rest for around 3-4 minutes. Remove your bacon and set aside
While your burgers are resting, add 2 slices of American burger cheese on top and let melt
Wash your lettuce and tear individual leaves off, set these aside on some kitchen paper or a clean tea towel to dry
Carefully slice your onion horizontally to obtain large onion rings, we recommend 2 rings per burger
Similarly, slice your beef tomato horizontally, 1 large tomato round for each burger is optimal! Set your onion rings and tomato rounds aside.
Halve your burger buns and lightly toast each half on the internal side, for no more than 30 seconds, and then set aside
To assemble your Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger, add sauce of your choice to the bottom half of your burger bun, then place your cheeseburger on top, followed by 3 rashers of smoked streaky bacon, the 2 onion rings, 1 tomato round, and a nice frilly lettuce leaf before putting the lid half of your bun on the top!
